The Hot Springs County High School Bobcats and Lady Cats wrestlers put in a remarkable effort this year and completed the 2025 season with several wrestlers claiming State Championships. Following on the heels of that extremely successful season, several Bobcats and Lady Cats were recently awarded All-State Honors for the 2025 season, two from the Lady Cats team and five from the Bobcats team.
For the Lady Cats, Junior, Alix Sorensen was named All-State for the first time. Alix went 33-5 for the season. Sophomore Lilly Quintanilla was also named to the All-State Team for the second straight year. In another outstanding season, Lilly went undefeated - winning all 37 of her matches.
From the Bobcats team, senior Sam Skelton was named All-State for the second consecutive year - having finished the season, with a 33-13 Record. Senior Brody Sorensen received the honors for the third straight year, and went 38-6 in his season. Senior Will Ward was also named All-State for the third consecutive year, having finished his season with a record of 26-1.
Sophomores Cannon Boren and Dyllan Myers also received All-State recognition, Dyllan for his first time and Cannon for the second consecutive year. Cannon went 45-4 on the season, while Dyllan finished with a record of 37-8.
Next up for the exceptional Bobcats and Lady Cats wrestlers will be the National High School Championship tournament which will be held in Virginia Beach later this month.
