Thermopolis Wrestling Club members kick off their season

Last Saturday, 22 member of the Thermopolis Wrestling Club attended the Rocky Mountain Nationals Wild West Championship Tournament at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper. The tournament brought 114 teams and over 1,200 wrestlers from surrounding states.

Thermopolis Wrestling Club finished 5th in team standings with 269 points behind the Green River Grapplers, Casper Eastside United, and the Colorado teams of Bear Cave and Pomona Elite.

Six wrestlers brought home Championships: Carter Enis (6U, 49 lbs), Hailey Robinson (15U, 88lbs), Hayden Robinson (12U, 80 lbs), Kade Enis (12U, 146 lbs), Kylie Geis (12U, 130 lbs), and Rylee Enis (8U, 58 lbs).

Runners up were Cheston Kimes (11U, 82 lbs), Gabe Ryan (10U, 65 lbs), Roxy White (10U, 64 lbs and 10U, 72 lbs), Briar Lahoe (15U, 123 lbs) and Tanner Myers (12U, 98 lbs).

Third place winners were: Aksel Polson (11U, 70 lbs), Fletcher Lewis (10U, 65 lbs), Holden Loden (8U, HWT), Kylie Geis (15U, 130 lbs), and Nash Bowker (8U, 58 lbs).

Other team members earning top 6 places were: Aksel Polson, 5th place (12U, 70 lbs), Gabe Ryan, 4th place (11U, 66 lbs), Halen Lahoe, 4th place (9U, 69 lbs), Kade Enis 4th (12U, 146 lbs), Trenton Enis (12U, 114 lbs).

On Sunday, several members of the team wrestled at The Summit at 5150 in Casper. Results include:

6U 48-51A - Carter Enis, 1st, 18 points

6U 48-51B - Cooper ORourke, 2nd, 14 points

8U 43 - Konnor Simpson, 2nd

8U 45 - Erik Molson, 1st, 8.5 points

8U 53 - Greyson Hill, 4th, 15 points

10U 93 - Holden Loden, 1st, 25 points

12U 74 - Aksel Poison, 1st, 27 points

12U 98 - Joshua Haddix, 4th, 10 points

12U 160 - Kade Enis, 1st, 6 points

Girls 10U 50-55 - Cooper Enis, 1st, 20 points
