Roberta Carol Haga, 77, passed away at the Washakie Medical Center in Worland, Wyo., on December 29, 2024.
Roberta was born in Petaluma, Calif., on July 13, 1947, the oldest of three children born to Wilbur "Bill" Julius and Gene Carol (Small) Moretti.
Roberta graduated from Petaluma High School in 1965 alongside her high school sweetheart, Stephen Wayne Haga, who she later married on April 19, 1970. She had always wanted to be a housewife and concentrate her time on her husband and any children they would have. Their two children were born in 1972 and 1975 respectively and they were blessed enough with Stephen's job to allow her to fulfill her wish of raising their children herself.
She trained in many types of dance throughout her childhood, particularly enjoying tap and ballet. She choreographed production numbers for herself and members of her dance classes until she finished high school. Later in life she choreographed a production of "Oklahoma!" for Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park, Calif., which was very well received by the students and families participating.
She was a lifelong aficionado of handcrafts of all types. Crochet, knitting and counted cross-stitch were some of her favorite hobbies and many of her bedspreads, doilies, and specialty crochet figurines are held in the hands of her remaining family members.
Roberta was a huge fan of "Star Trek" and attended many conventions around the San Francisco Bay Area. She was proud to have met many of the original cast members numerous times and gathered a significant collection of signatures, pictures and plaques commemorating those meetings, which were displayed without shame in the house.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen W. Haga; daughter, Stefani (Matt) LaBeau; brother, Warren R. Moretti of Petaluma, Calif .; and sister-in-law, Teri L. Moretti of Hahira, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Scott Hebert Moretti; and son, Paul Ryan Haga.
Cremation has taken place and as per her request there will be no formal services. Online condolences may be made at http://www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
