Birdsley heads to Wisconsin to show her strength

Thermopolis resident Porshia Birdsley has qualified to compete at the Official Strongman Games held at the Alliant Energy Center Coliseum in Madison, Wisconsin. The event runs from December 5-8, with Birdsley scheduled to compete in the womens 161 lb. class. Our local VFW will be airing the competition at Post 2281 on Friday and Saturday.

At this national festival of strength, Birdsley will be competing against strongwomen from around the world. The competition features nearly 400 strongmen and strongwomen competitors from over 35 countries. Birdsley’s weight class includes herself and 22 other women from the USA, China, Scotland, Sweden, Australia, Canada, Finland and Great Britian.
