New officer sworn in

Thermopolis Mayor Adam Estenson recently swore in new officer Jonathan Bartlett. Bartlett was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts. He enlisted in the United States Army in 2010, serving as an infantryman in Afghanistan during the 2012 troop surge as a member of Special Operations Task Force–East in Kunar Province. Upon leaving active duty, OFC Bartlett enlisted in the Connecticut Army National Guard and served his community while attending college on the GI Bill. Officer Bartlett deployed a second time to Afghanistan in 2020, as a civilian contractor supporting several US government agencies. Officer Bartlett began his Law Enforcement career in Thermopolis as a patrol deputy for the Hot Springs County Sheriff's Office, he also worked for the Greybull Police Department and has spent the last three years as a patrolman for the Northampton, Massachusetts Police Department.
