1949-2024
Nancy Madrigal, born on November 29, 1949, in Thermopolis, Wyo., passed away on October 12, 2024, at the age of 74. She spent most of her life in Lander, Wyo., working in the school district's special education department and the Wyoming State Training School, before returning to Thermopolis.
Nancy loved crafting, spending time outdoors, bowling, traveling, and tending to her garden and plants. She was an animal lover, especially devoted to her two dogs, Mitzi and Molly. Always one to step in and volunteer to help people in need. Known for her vibrant personality, she was the life of the party and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her longtime partner, Bud Ogden; daughter, Debbie Metzger (David); son, Don (Spook) Metzger; stepchildren, Curtis Simpson (Heather), Matthew Ogden (Dea), and Breann Ogden; sister, Judy Carpenter; nephew, Jimmy Carpenter (Christy); grandchildren, Damien Windholz (Katey), Alyssa Metzger, Landon Metzger, and Axel Metzger; and great-grandchild, Roman Windholz.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Ray Englehart; mother, Maxine Goodell; stepfather, Doc Goodell; and brother-in-law, Charley Carpenter.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 24 at the Community Center at the Community Church.
Mortimore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
