Moonlight Madness hits downtown next Thursday

Moonlight Madness is returning to the streets of downtown Thermopolis on Thursday, October 24. A variety of activities will be offered that you and your family can participate in.

Carnival games for prizes will be hosted and located at Central Bank & Trust, 435 Arapahoe, from 4-6 p.m.

The Mason’s tacos will be available from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Masonic Hall, 521 Arapahoe St.

The Costume Contest, sponsored by Wyoming Children’s Trust Fund, will begin at 6 p.m. in the 400 Block of Broadway, in front of the Thermopolis Town Hall. Categories are: theme, under 1, 1-2 years, 3-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-8 years, 9 years and above. This is also the order of judging.

Following the regular costume contest, Owl Creek Vet Clinic is sponsoring a Pet Costume Contest.

A Pinata Bash, hosted by the Thermopolis Independent Record, will follow the Costume Contests on Broadway.

Additionally, a photo booth by Shailee Harvey Photography will be located at Discover Thermopolis.

Several downtown businesses will be open late and offering up treats for children who want to Trick or Treat. Many of them will also be serving up warm beverages and other tasty treats so be sure to stop in.

In case of inclement weather, a backup location will be announced.
