William 'Chuck' Charles Buchanan

William "Chuck" Charles Buchanan, beloved son, and friend to all passed away early on September 22, 2024, at the age of 71.

Chuck was born March of 1953 in Thermopolis, Wyo., and was the second child of Don and Ruth Buchanan. He was a lifelong believer and would often speak with true fondness about his faith-Chuck had many buddies, but his best friend was always Jesus Christ.

Chuck touched the lives of those around him with his warm spirit, big smile, and hearty laughter. His family and friends will remember his appreciation of cheeseburgers, soda pop, and Sunday morning church. He will be deeply missed by his roommates and staff at Big Horn Enterprises, the citizens of Thermopolis, and all who had the fortune to meet and know him.

He is survived by his sisters, Deeann Jenniges and Gretchen Buchanan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don; and mother, Ruth.

A viewing for Chuck will start at 10 a.m. on September 26 at the Mortimore Funeral Home in Thermopolis, Wyo. Following the viewing, a celebration of Chuck's life will be held at 1:30 p.m., also at the Mortimore Funeral Home. After the service, Chuck will be interred at Riverside Cemetery with a reception to come at Big Horn Enterprises for a time of fellowship and refreshments. All are welcome to come, share memories, laughter, and honor the extraordinary life of Chuck Buchanan.

While the family is happy to accept flowers, donations can also be made to Big Horn Enterprises for ongoing care of the differently abled in the Thermopolis community.
