Commenting on the event, coach Brandon Deromedi said, “It was a good preparation for state this weekend. We had not seen Kemmerer yet this year, but we knew they were a good team. It was good to see what competition they will bring to the State Championships in Sheridan. They will definitely give us a run.”

The State Championship Tournament will be played on Friday and Saturday this week in Sheridan. The event is being co-hosted by Big Horn and Tongue River at the Kendrick Golf Course, and will comprise 36 holes over those two days.

Both the Bobcats, and the Lady Cats, have a good chance to come away with wins at state this year – with the Lady Cats looking to repeat as state champs. Hayden Overfield is considered a threat to take the boys championship, and Lilly Johnson is positioned to make a push for the girls championship.
