A Reed Maser Memorial Bull Riding event is scheduled at Hot Springs County Fairgrounds beginning at noon on Sunday, September 8.

Tree care class offered by UW Extension

The University of Wyoming Extension is teaming up with Arborist Ron Reilly to teach a free Tree Care class at the Hot Springs Library on September 10, 2024, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Come prepared with questions for Ron about your trees.

Boiling water canning class offered

Join University of a Extension educator Melissa Cook for a boiling water canning class at the Hot Springs County Extension office on September 11, 2024, from noon to 2:30 p.m. The class will cover USDA recommended canning practices for making jam. Suicide Awareness Training

St. Alban’s Episcopal Church and The Episcopal Church in Wyoming are Partnering with Soul Shop to present Faith based suicide prevention workshop. This will be a transformative one-day workshop designed to discuss the critical issue of suicide within our communities. This event will equip you with tools to create a supportive resource, train individuals in suicide awareness and basic conversation skills, and extend an invitation to those who have been suicidal in the past to share their stories. Whether you are a healthcare worker, social worker, counselor, or a faith leader, this workshop will help you cultivate a soul-safe culture in your environment.

The workshop will be held Thursday, September 12 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 1126 U.S. 16, Worland. Lunch will be included. Register at: diowy.inf/soulshop
