In the Hot Springs County General Election held in November, voters will have the opportunity to elect several area district representatives.
Candidates filing for the newly formed Hot Springs County Senior Service District include Kimberly Joy Black, Ted Brown, Curtis Cheney, Gary J. Holbert, Marvin Nielsen, Raymond E. Shaffer, Kathy Sorensen and Maxine Kay Toepke-Reese.
Incumbent Chip Axtell filed for one of two open seats on the Conservation District, one rural and one urban.
Clint Huckfeldt is running for one open seat on the Fire Protection District.

For school district, eight candidates have filed for four available seats. Incumbents Clay VanAntwerp and Nicole Weyer are running for reelection. Marshall Keller was recently selected by the board to fill a seat that was open upon Will Farrell’s resignation and Keller is running for election. Other candidates running include Justin Budd, Beth Lewis, Jessica Lippincott, Benjamin M Postma and Jean Skelton.
For Cemetery District,incumbents Cindy DeVries and Barbara Tomes Vietti along with Margaret Stansillare running for three available seats.
For Hospital District John Anderson and John V Fenton are running for two seats. Dave Koerwitz is not running for reelection and Bill Williams resigned from the board.
