At the August 20 Thermopolis Town Council meeting, under administration, Assistant to the Mayor Jim Jeunehomme discussed with the council some estimates to put a new asphalt surface on the basketball court at the family park. One was from Owl Creek Excavation for $31,976.05 and the other from Quality Asphalt Paving for $25,956.
Jeunehomme recommended Owl Creek Excavation because their price not only included the asphalt material but added dirt compaction and returning the landscape to its original condition afterwards. The council voted and passed the approval to estimate of Owl Creek Excavation. It was noted by Jeunehomme that council member John Dorman Sr. requested estimates for a concrete surface for the same property. Further action will be required because not all estimates were put in. Officials bids for this are not required due to the work being under $75,000 per statute.

He has also been employed in several civilian leadership positions, such as the Lincoln County school district Director of Maintenance and Transportation. In his off-time, Mike enjoys Jiu Jitsu, hunting, and fishing, but more than anything else, he absolutely loves spending time with his family, which is his entire world.”
