Last week, the "ABR Roadshow," of America's Best Restaurants (ABR), made its second appearance in Thermopolis during the month of August. The Roadshow was in town to do a review, and a promotion on the One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company on August 8, 2024, and returned on August 27, 2024 to visit the 7 Lazy S Cafe & Bar.
ABR is a national restaurant media and marketing consultancy, which highlights culinary establishments around the country. Businesses are featured on the ABR media pages with short videos made on location, and each business is given the opportunity to engage ABR for marketing services, if desired. ABR bills itself as "the number one media company for restaurants across the USA."
Charlie and Kim Smith opened the 7 Lazy S Cafe in November of 2021, serving breakfast and lunch, at the site of the former Sideboard Restaurant, which later housed the Thermopolis Café. In April of 2022, they added dinner service and opened the adjacent Bar, at the corner of 6th and Broadway.
While Kim and Charlie work the front side of the business, they are aided by Katyana Springer, who manages the kitchen. The business provides jobs for 22 local employees, and is open Friday through Tuesday, and is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the winter season (beginning the week of Labor Day).
ABR Roadshow Host, Theo Williams, was joined by Videographer, Jon Van Dyke, and Director of Operations, Austin Turner. All three gentlemen are from eastern locals, and were making their first visit to The Equality State. The team arrived late in the afternoon last Tuesday, after doing a shoot in Greybull earlier in the day.
ABR Roadshow says the video shot from their two local visits, will be posted on ABR's social media in the coming weeks.
