As Hot Springs County Fair wraps up Friday evening with the Junior Livestock Auction and Judges’ Choice Bake Sale, a weekend packed full of other events will be kicking off.
Wyoming Discovery Days will be hosting a concert in Hot Springs State Park featuring the band 8 Second Ride beginning at 8 p.m.
A full schedule of other Wyoming Discovery Days activities and the Gift of the Waters Pageant will be held Saturday and Sunday in Hot Springs State Park.
A variety of other events will also pack the weekend with fun including the Pageant Parade that will make its way through town on Saturday, August 3 beginning at 10 a.m. This year’s theme is Lets Get Along.
Prior to the parade, the Bobcat 5K Run/Walk/Bike will be held in Hot Springs State Park with registration beginning at 6:45 a.m. and the race starting at 7:30 a.m. Proceeds benefit Bobcat Cross Country.
After the parade, stick around downtown by the flagpole for a spectacular Indian dancing performance.
Also following the parade, be sure to stop by the Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Hall at 400 S. 14th St. for an open house.
The Wedding of the Waters Poker Float, hosted by Hot Springs County Search and Rescue will fill the Bighorn River on Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Registration is at the Wedding of the Waters from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be a $500 cash prize for the best hand. Proceeds benefit Search and Rescue.
