Randall "Randy" Lee Wahler, 75, died peacefully Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his home in Thermopolis after a long battle with cancer.
The son of James and Jewel (Cover) Wahler, he was born July 12, 1948, in Thermopolis, Wyo. Following high school he attended a year of college. In September, 1967 he joined the Army National Guard, serving seven years.
In 1969, Randy married Patricia Todorovich in Thermopolis. To this union was born two children, Corey and Dawn Wahler. Pat died in 2009 due to cancer.
Randy became self-employed as a Home Inspector agent working for 14 years. He enjoyed hiking, archery, fishing, camping and traveling. He was known for all the pictures he took of his Home Town which put smiles on many faces. He was a big influencer and didn't know a stranger. Randy was a member of Community Federated Church. Even through his years of treatment for cancer he had a positive nature that affected all who knew him. He became friends with Kay Wiecki as they enjoyed each other's company. They later married April 10, 2021, in Thermopolis.
Family cherishing Randy's memory include his wife, Kay; children, Corey and Bridget of Bandera, Texas, and Dawn Wahler of Alpine, Wyo .; Kay's children, Steve and Gina of Worland, Lori and Paige of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; and first wife, Pat.
In lieu of flowers, Randy requested memorials be made to T-Town Cancer Crusaders, Attn: Connie Hoffman, 441 Lane 12.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Community Federated Church with a reception to follow.
