Let us help promote your upcoming event

Members of our community work hard to put on all sorts of worthwhile events that attract a variety of groups and subject matter. Different organizations hold fundraisers, fun activities and other amazing opportunities to gather together.

People need to know your event is happening. There are a variety of ways to get the word out, but please consider your local newspaper as an effective way to promote your event. People pay for this newspaper, which means they read it.

Please know we here at the Independent Record do not get our news from social media and many community members do not either.

We depend upon people sending us an email, giving us a phone call or stopping by our office to meet with us ahead of their event. You can even hang up an event poster while you’re here.

When you reach out before hand to let us know about an event, we will write an article, include it on the community calendar and discuss an in-kind sponsorship advertising package. Check out the ads in this week’s paper on page 2, 3 and 12 for examples of our continued sponsorship of local events.
