Catherine Ann Holton

It is with great sadness to announce the unexpected passing of Catherine Ann Holton on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Catherine was born on October 31, 1944, in St. Louis, Mo., to the late Jim and Mary Ellen Holton. She visited Wyoming in her early years and fell in love with the star. She moved to Jackson Hole and later Casper where she became a teacher in Casper then Midwest until her retirement. She then move to Thermopolis where she had always dreamed to live.

She is survived by her daughters, Valerie Powell of Grants Pass, Ore., and Cristal Eversole of Rawlins, Wyo.; grandsons, Cody Hall and beau Eversole of Rawlins, Wyo.; four brothers; and three sisters. She was fortunate to meet her great-grandson, Reagan Hall, before her passing. She had made many friends throughout her life who are devastated by her loss.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Holton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 1, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints in Thermopolis at 2 p.m., presided by her good friend Leroy Shumway. There will be a potluck dinner after the service, so bring your favorite dish.
