Spring branding

The annual Spring tradition of branding cattle is in full force around the county. The weather on Saturday was perfect for a branding on upper Owl Creek. Matt Elliott applies dehorning paste while Paisley Logan and Kale Odell hold the calf. Calves receive vaccinations and their owners brand as well as being checked for any signs of infection or illness.
