Thermopolis wrestlers bring home top placings from state

The Thermopolis Wrestling Club ended their season last weekend at the WAWA Kids/16U/Jr. State event held at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper. This culminating tournament draws wrestlers from around the state, representing 53 teams, to compete in three different styles of wrestling.

The Thermopolis girls team brought home a first place trophy in Folkstyle, crowning five champions, Nora Ryan, Hazel White, Cooper Enis, Roxy White and Isabella Hetzel and one runner-up, Kylie Geis. Cooper Enis, Isabella Hetzel and Jesalyn Blair were runners-up in Freestyle. Cooper Enis also was the champion in Greco and Roxy White was a runner-up.

In the boys Folkstyle division, Holden Loden and Cannon Boren earned championships and runners-up were Tanner Myers, Tenton Enis, Kade Enis and Cannon Boren. Trenton Elis, Fischer Lewis and Cannon Boren took home championships in Freestyle followed by runners-up, Gabriel Ryan, Cannon Boren, Tanner Myers. In Greco, the boys team had five champions, Aksel Polson, Trenton Enis, Fischer Lewis, and Cannon Boren (in two divisions) and two runners-up, Gabriel Ryan and Kade Enis.
