Lady Cats see strong individual finishes

The Hot Springs High School Lady Cats Track Team were on the road twice this past week – first, competing in the D&D Invitational at Worland on Thursday and then in the Lehner/Finch Invitational at Glenrock on Friday.

Overall, at Worland, the Lady Cats finished in fifth place as a team, with a combined score of 45. The host team from Worland finished atop the team standings, with a combined score of 209.50.

Highlights from Worland include:

Davdine King, second in the 100 meter dash, 13.08; second in the 400 meter dash, 1:01.03; first in long jump, 16-09.00.

Ina King, tenth in the 100 meter dash, 13.87; second in triple jump, 35-05.00.

Brooklynn Williams, fifth in the 400 meter dash, 1:05.71.

Ella Slover, eighth in the 800 meter run, 3:24.54; ninth in high jump 4-05.00.

4x400 meter relay, third, 4:36.90, Ina King, Brooklynn Williams, Jayda Griffin, Davdine King.

The Lady Cats Team finished in Fifth Place at Glenrock with a combined score of 65. Douglas finished in First Place in the team scores at 106.25.

Highlights from Glenrock include:

Davdine King, second in the 100 meter dash, 13.02; first in the 200 meter dash, 27.25; first in high jump, 5-01.00; fourth in long jump, 15-01.25.

Ina King, sixth in the 100 meter dash, 13.82; seventh in the 200 meter dash, 29.80; first in triple jump, 34-02.00.

Brooklynn Williams, third in the 800 meter run, 2:51.34; first in pole vault, 8-00.00.

Next up for the Lady Cats will be meets in Lander on early this week and Rawlins on Friday.
