1950-2024
Mabel Bulman, 73, passed away February 28, 2024, at Hot Springs Health after a period of declining health.
One of six children of Clifford and Mabel (Coleman) Murrain, she was born September 17, 1950, in Worland, Wyo. Known as “Dolly”, she lived in the Thermopolis area most of her life.
An avid seamstress, she often quilted projects for Christmas and birthday gifts. She enjoyed family history. Her other passion being ceramics, you would find her cleaning and painting pieces that she then gave away to family and friends. Never without a pet, Dolly trained her animals to do fun tricks, always excited to show off the newest antics taught them. As her physical abilities declined her pets became her whole world.
Dolly loved road trips with long conversations and singing along with old country songs. As her illness progressed she missed riding the back roads of Wyoming but long conversations were still her forte. These will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Travis Dixon, Royce Umbdenstock, Amy Dixon, and Jeri Umbdenstock; sisters, Opal Ellis-McCollum and Virgie Overgaard; fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leonard and Mitch Murrain; and sister, Marianne Murrain.
No services are planned at this time.
Mortimore Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Messages may be offered at www.mortfh.com.
