The Be My Valentine Odd Ball will be on Saturday, February 17 from 6-9 p.m. at the Community Hall, 631 Big Horn Street. The event is a scholarship fundraiser hosted by the George M. Sliney Odd Fellows Lodge #26. Tickets are $15 per person. There will be dancing, appetizers, door prizes and fun while supporting a great cause. A photo booth will be available and Sanchez Soundz providing music.
Additionally, the High School Cultural Immersion Club is doing a babysitting fundraiser to help fund their upcoming trip. They will be offering childcare at the Thermopolis Middle School on February 17 from 6-9 p.m. by donation.
Past Noble Grand and current Odd Fellows Treasurer Bradyn Harvey said, “Our lodge is focused on the youth of Thermopolis and sees great value investing in the kids who are pursuing a career in the Trades. The original Lodge used to host a formal ball in Thermopolis and we loved the idea and wanted to carry on its tradition. There are few opportunities around here to get all dressed up for a night on the town.”
Harvey added, “The high school is offering to baby sit, so it’s the perfect opportunity for a couple’s date night. All the proceeds go toward our trade school scholarship.”
