The annual 4-H and FFA youth beef weigh and tag day was on Sunday at the HSC Fairgrounds. The beef projects must be weighed and tagged with a RFID Wyoming State Fair tag in order to be shown at the county fair in July. The recent moisture made for a muddy mess as Silas Dickey tries to coax his Hereford steer into the chute to be tagged. Fair board member Arnold Pennoyer lends a hand as he was the designated tagger as the other board members each helped in the process of weighing and tagging the animals. There are 33 youth enrolled in the market beef project with 41 steers being weighted and tagged on Sunday.
