Gun show comes to Thermopolis last weekend of January

Stars & Pipes, LLC is hosting a Gun Show on January 26-27 from 3-7 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday at the HSC Fair Building at 627 Springview. They plan to make the show an annual event. Admittance is $2 per person.

Event organizer Bradyn Harvey said, “We just wanted to bring back a gun show to Thermopolis. There hasn’t been one here in a while and we saw a need, so we wanted to fill it.” They had 35 tables available and they are all spoken for.

Harvey added, “The importance of gun shows to us is to just supply firearms. It’s a very limited supply around the area, I guess you could say. We just want to help out local vendors. There’s a couple of our guys coming that said this is what they do full time. They were excited to have another opportunity in the winter. There usually aren’t very many at this time of year.”

The Stars & Pipes Gun Show will feature vendors from Cody, Cowley, Basin, Douglas, Ranchester and Sheridan. Most will also have ammunition available for the guns that they are selling.

Harvey also said why owning a gun is important, “It’s our God given right to be able to defend ourselves and provide for our family with the hunting. Firearms have been a staple in the entire American experiment since the dawn of its creation. It’s a great time to bring in some older stuff that you don’t use anymore or guns that you don’t shoot anymore.”
