Vicki Jean Person

Vicki Jean Person, 72, passed away of natural causes in her country home on December 19, 2023.

She grew up in Butte, Mont., the middle child of three, and went to the University of Utah to study Dance. There she met, married her 1st husband Val Gibson, and started her family.

She came to Thermopolis in 1980 and discovered her calling as a Caregiver. She was diagnosed with MS in 1994, but had been in remission for the last 30 years.

She worked as a CNA at HSCMH making an impression on every soul she ever met. There she met her 2nd husband and the love of her life, Peter Person whom she married in 1996, blending their two grown families into one.

She was a compassionate woman who loved her family deeply. She enjoyed gardening, cross stitch, crafting, playing puzzles and games, and taking care of her cats. She was a great listener, caring mother, grandmother, and friend with a gentle soul.

Vicki is survived by her daughters, Jean (Richard) Page, and Andria (Jay) McQuiston; step-children, Janell Edwards, Trina (Dave) Mundt, Eric (Traci) Person, Daviena Shauer, and Corey (Jennifer) Person; 10+ grandchildren; and many, many great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by both her parents, Bob and Beryl Lewis; sister, Erin Garlinghouse; brother, David Lewis; and husband, Pete.

Cremation has taken place and a small celebration of her life will happen at a future date.
