Jacklyn Ruth Snively

Jacklyn Ruth Snively passed away on November 11, 2023, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyo. Jackie was born in Ely, Nev. to Jesse and Ruth Wixom on Jan. 10, 1941.

She attended high school in Big Piney, Wyo. She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking and could browse through recipes for hours. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge for 51 years.

Her family moved from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Big Piney, Wyo., when she was in high school. She met and married the love of her life, John Snively on Sept. 14, 1957. They were life partners for 66 years.

Jackie is survived by her husband, John Snively; son, John (Paula) Snively; daughters, Esther (Calvin) Gandy and Terry (John) Kimes; grandchildren, John Snively, Joey (Val) Snively, Jeremy Snively, Daniel (Christina) Gandy, Mary German, Luke (Sarah) Kimes, David (Tasha) Kimes, Doug (Kendra) Kimes and Bob (Amber) Kimes; several great, great-grandchildren; and niece, Ruthann Knutson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ruth Wixom; sister, Ann Griggs; brother, Steve Wixom; twin babies, John and Jesse Snively; and niece, Elizabeth Taylor.
