Elizabeth Frances 'Betty' Brizendin

Elizabeth Frances "Betty" Brizendine, 102, passed away November 9, 2023, in Thermopolis.

She was born March 29, 1921, in Santa Rosa, Calif., the daughter of Ivan and Elizabeth (Keefer) Allen. She graduated from high school in Biggs, Calif., in 1939.

On June 28, 1941, she married Edgar E. Brizendine. To this union was born three children, Donna, Raymond and Lynn.

They resided in California until moving to Wyoming in 2012 to be near family. A devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother, her family was her whole world. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Robert and Elwood; grandson, Timothy Thompson; daughter, Lynn Thompson; and son, Raymond.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Frank) Cole of Thermopolis; granddaughters, Nan, Jay Steadman, Gwen, Reg Treese of Buffalo, and Melissa Rose of Nevada; grandsons, Robert Brizendine of Nevada, Thomas, Aimie Brizendine of the Netherlands, and Jeffrey Thompson of California; eight great-grandchildren; six great, great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
