Lighted Christmas parade, Merry Christmas Market being planned

Get an early start in celebrating the holidays by signing up for the Lighted Christmas Parade. The entry deadline is November 28. The parade is set for Saturday, December 2 beginning at 6 p.m.

The Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce encourages people to sign up now as you make plans for the design of your float. It’s time to enjoy the Christmas spirit together as a community and join together for fun.

The parade’s route is the same as the Gift of Waters. It starts on Senior Avenue, past the Post Office, turning to the flagpole, then turning around at the turning lane at the stoplight (not the intersection), and finishes on Broadway. The Chamber is also working on getting Santa and Mrs. Clause to come and have the opportunity for photos afterwards. Get ready for some winter fun and season’s greetings here in Thermopolis.

Also, the Chamber is holding its 2023 Merry Christmas Market where participants can shop and win starting the week of November 24. Participants turn in their receipts to the Chamber of Commece for the possibility of winning $250 in Chamber Bucks.

You must shop at participating businesses designated on the Merry Christmas Market list located at http://www.thermopolischamber.org. Bring your receipt with your name and phone number written on it to the Chammber of Commerce, 220 Park Street or upload a copy of your receipt to info@thermopolischamber.org. Dates and purchase must be clearly legible. Receipts must be from participating businesses to be valid.

Receipts will not be carried forward week to week. All prior week’s receipts will be destroyed after the weekly drawing. For more information, contact the Chamber at 864-3192.
