Lanette Carter

Lanette Carter, known by many as Mrs. Carter, went to join her beloved husband Larry, family, and their much loved dogs in heaven on September 8, 2023.

She was born in Bozeman, Mont., on March 15, 1955, to Newell and Daisy Sessions. She was the youngest of four children. Lanette's true passion in life laid with her students at Parkside elementary where she taught kindergarten for over 30 years. She touched countless student's lives as a teacher. She was a true mentor and a very loyal friend.

Lanette is survived by her sister, Mikki Martinez, of Thermopolis; numerous nieces and nephews; in-laws; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; parents, Newell and Daisy Sessions; siblings, Philip and Carol; nieces, Candy, Veronica, and Felicity; and nephew, Scott.

Per Lanette's request, there will be no services held and her ashes are to be scattered with her husband Larry's ashes and the ashes of their many beloved canine companions at their favorite fishing spot in the Bighorn Mountains.
