Senior Center to host full line up of events

The Hot Springs County Senior Center is holding a variety of events that are coming up and of interest to the public.

The Senior Center Welcomes Fall with a Big Rummage Sale at the old airport, Friday, September 22 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and dollar a bag Saturday 8 a.m.-noon. Make your selections and a donation that will go to their new building.

The Senior Center will hold their Trunk Sale on Saturday, September 23 from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. at the center, 206 Senior Ave. You can sell whatever fits in your vehicle’s trunk or truck bed. It costs $15 per parking space and you keep the money from your sale.

A Sip & Paint will be held at the center on Monday, September 25 beginning at 1:30 p.m. Sabrina Annand from the Happy Hippie in Worland is donating her time and supplies for this event. Donations would be appreciated. Annand will be doing a “Fall Theme”. There is no charge. Please sign up in advance in the office or call the Senior Center.

The Hot Springs County Senior Center will host an Alzheimer’s Community Forum on Wednesday, September 27 from 1-2:30 p.m. Join them for a listening session on Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and memory loss.

The center will be hosting a Cribbage Tournament on Saturday, October 7 beginning at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $25 which includes $5 day money for the highest total points.

HSC Senior Center also presents San Antonio, Texas on April 12-22, 2024. The cost of $1,469 includes: Motorcoach transportation, 10 nights lodging with four consecutive nights in the San Antonio area, 18 meals (10 breakfasts and eight dinners) a guided tour of San Antonio, a cruise at San Antonio’s famous River Walk District, visit the famous ALAMO and IMAX Theater presentation of “ALAMO…The Price of Freedom,” a visit to the Institute of Texan Cultures and San Antonio Missions, and a tour of the LBJ Ranch.

“This is How We Roll!” t-shirt fundraiser is also going on.
