Gottsche plans Boots and Bling fundraiser

Non-Profit Organization Gottsche Rehabilitation and Wellness Center will hold a Boots & Bling Fundraiser on Saturday, September 16 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Fair Building, 627 Springview.

CEO Cheryl Shero spoke about the importance of supporting their organization.

Shero has served at Gottsche for the past 22 years and said, “Gottsche is the only comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facility that is licensed by the state of Wyoming. Gottsche has a stellar reputation, and I’m proud to be a part of it. I’ve seen everything here from sports and orthopedic rehab, from pre and post-surgical rehab, total joint replacements, acute and chronic pain of all kinds, balance disorders, back pain, and much, much more. Our therapists provide evidence-based treatments that allow the best outcomes for our patients. It is the part I get to see and enjoy the most with those smiling faces returning to normal, everyday life. We serve six communities and I’m proud that we are part of the communities of Thermopolis, Worland Basin, Powell, Cody, and Shoshoni.”

Shero added, “The personal care that our therapists provide ensures our patients’ success and is unmatched. I feel like any other facility in Wyoming when patients are looking for a rehab facility, our therapists, our program, our expertise, and our experience prove that Gottsche continues to be a leader in rehabilitation and therapy in Wyoming. We are the longest-serving rehab facility.”

Shero continued and said, “Referrals are the greatest compliment a facility could possibly receive. We not only receive referrals from our providers, but we receive referrals from our patients, our families, and by word of mouth, on their experiences and achievements they experienced at Gottsche. As a nonprofit organization. And I really want to emphasize. Many people don’t realize that Gottsche is a nonprofit organization.”

“We have been fortunate to receive donations from various gracious donors who have chosen to support us throughout the years. We rely on our donations to continue to support our vision and our mission, and that is what we treat, regardless of the ability to pay. Our board and I are very proud that we have not had to change that vision or that mission even during these difficult times, as it has been extremely challenging. The past few years. We’ve really been hit pretty hard with inflation and so many health care changes that we are all experiencing today.”

Shero added, “Gottsche isn’t any different. We are facing challenges with our donors becoming fewer. We’re facing challenges due to insurance reimbursements that have drastically reduced. And I know you’re all experiencing it, too. Also, during the last two years since COVID, patients have had more difficulty paying their co-pays and their deductibles. And we’ve tried to work through many, many situations with many of our patients.”

“We appreciate all of our donors who have faithfully and consistently helped and donated in the past. It has been greatly appreciated. I am coming today to ask you to help keep Gottsche’s vision and mission alive and well. It has been extremely challenging. Any amount is appreciated for your help to keep Gottsche’s vision and mission alive and well. Any amount is appreciated and will help us in many ways, such as helping to provide us with scholarships and many hardships to updating equipment and needs to maintain the highest standards that we want to give at Gottsche and continue to maintain.”

Shero continued and said, “Due to the recent difficulties we have addressed, fundraising this year has become a very top priority and to continue to provide top-notch, patient-centered care to everyone in this community and in our other communities, regardless of their ability to pay. We want to be there. Any amount is truly appreciated and I mean that sincerely. I am thankful for our therapists, our staff, our providers, and, most importantly, our patients in all the communities that we serve. You mean a lot to us, and without each of you, Gottsche would not be where we are today. My passion as a director is being able to serve all of you.”
