Mike describes himself as an avid outdoorsman with a love and passion for history. His knowledge is unsurpassed of genealogy research and local history. Mike and his wife, Nadja, move to Thermopolis from Alaska to experience the Wild West themselves and learn more about the history. They both immediately became involved in the community, and Mike went to work at the Hot Springs County Museum.
Unfortunately, in 2020, Mike had a serious stroke. The stroke confined him to a wheelchair and hampered him with additional health issues. He was making great strides in his recovery. However, just recently, he has been diagnosed with cancer. Despite all his challenges, Mike believes that laughter is the best medicine, and he encourages everyone around him to stay positive, smile, and laugh with him during this difficult time.
