RidgePoint Trailer Service now open

Jesse Kysar, a resident of Worland, opened his RidgePoint Trailer Services LLC business on June 10 located at 901 Shoshoni Street in Thermopolis. His main goal is to be a "grease monkey for trailers" where they do preventative maintenance and repair. 

Kysar said, "I had been planning it for about three years. I've been spending the last couple of years trying to find shop space and can't really find what I want. So the building here popped up and I plan on making it a chain, eventually. This is just the start of one location. I'm actually building a shop in Worland right now, so I'll have two locations here within the next year."

As part of their services, they do wiring, lights, bearings, degreasing, decking, painting, additions, welding, and much more. Kysar added they plan on building their own trailers as well.

Additionally, they can do work on camping trailers such as winterizing and even getting them ready for the summer. "If you can think of it, we could do it," said Kysar. At this time, they are working on installing a wet kit or a PTO hydraulic system on a trailer, which requires some fabrication.

Kysar originally worked in the oil field and in 2020, a couple of people asked him if he could rebuild their trailers. "That's where I kind of got the idea that I could make a living out of this, actually. So that's how I got started...I told them at the beginning, we could probably do this, you know, cheaper to buy a new one than it would be to rebuild. It turns out I was wrong. And especially with the market, when everything is so expensive, and it's almost, it's more cost-effective. I mean, even though it cost quite a bit to rebuild a trailer, it's still cheaper than buying a new one."

Kysar has hired John Maier as a local main manager for the Thermopolis shop. Kysar said, "He is a really, really good hand. And he can do anything. Super impressed with him."
