Find a hidden buffalo and win

The Get Outside With Your Family and Win event is going on now through August 27.

Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce CEO Meri Ann Dorman said, “Enjoy some of the great places to visit in Hot Springs County and look for a stuffed buffalo. If you find one, take it to the chamber office at 220 Park Street to win $100 in Chamber Bucks.” Only 10 buffaloes will be hidden.

A list of area attractions can be picked up at the chamber office. It includes 17 locations to explore and enjoy while hunting for a stuffed buffalo. The locations include the Bighorn River, Candy Jack Park, the Disc Golf Course, the Goldfish Cooling Ponds, Legend Rock Petroglyphs, the Mineral Hot Springs, Monument Hill in the Hot Springs State Park, the Swinging Bridge, the Roundtop Mountain Trail and other locations. 

Dorman also said, “If a buffalo is hidden at a place that has an admission fee, it will be hidden prior to the fee entrance.”

If you find a buffalo, it will say ‘Congratulations, you won the prize! Bring it back to the chamber office for $100 in chamber bucks.’ on the label.

The contest is a way to encourage families to get together and do an activity. 

The contest is sponsored by HSC Public Health, the Department of Family Services, and the Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, with funds from the Children’s Trust Fund Grant.
