Get outside with your family this summer for a chance to win

The Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce is holding its Get Outside With Your Family This Summer 2023 and Win event on July 15 until August 27. Chamber CEO Meri Ann Dorman said, "Enjoy some of the great places to visit in Hot Springs County and look for a stuffed buffalo. If you find one, take it to the chamber office at 220 Park Street to win $100 in Chamber Bucks." Only 10 buffalos will be hidden.

The event packet can be picked up at the chamber office and they list 17 locations to explore and enjoy while hunting for the stuffed buffalo. The locations include the Big Horn River, Candy Jack Park, the Disc Golf Course, the Goldfish Cooling Ponds, Legend Rock Petroglyphs, the Mineral Hot Springs, Monument Hill in the Hot Springs State Park, the Swinging Bridge and many other locations. 

Dorman also said, "If a buffalo is hidden at a place that has an admission fee, it will be hidden prior to people having to pay. Once they find a buffalo, it says on its label, 'Congratulations, you won the prize! Bring it back to the chamber office for $100 in chamber bucks.' The contest is just a way to get families out together and do an activity." 

The contest is sponsored by HSC Public Health, the Department of Family Service, and the Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, with funds from the Children's Trust Fund Grant.
