The Wyoming Dinosaur Center hosted "Jurassic Fest-Passion for the Past" last week. One of the featured speakers, Dr Dean Lomax, Palaeontologist (Visiting Scientist), Author and Science Communicator, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, The University of Manchester gives a talk at one of the WDC's most important fossil sites, called SI, which stands for Something Interesting. It is a dinosaur feeding ground that contains both trace fossils (footprints) and body fossils (bones) in the exact same layer, which is incredibly rare. See next week's issue of the IR for a feature story on the event.
