The Thermopolis Cowboy Rendezvous PRCA Rodeo is coming to town Friday and Saturday night offering up top cowboys and cowgirls along with award-winning stock.
Things kick off Friday at 9 a.m. with free admission to rodeo slack performances at Hot Springs County Fairgrounds. Gates open for the rodeo and vendor alley opens at 5 p.m. Friday night’s performance is Tough Enough to Wear Pink night and the action starts at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, the Patriotic Rodeo Parade will make its way through town beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will line up at 5th and Shoshoni Streets and travel down 6th Street to the stop light. They will then turn right on Broadway and disperse at the VFW. For more information on the parade, contact Kelsey Worley at 307-221-3672.
Vendor alley at the fairgrounds opens at 3 p.m. on Saturday with rodeo gates opening at 5 p.m. Saturday night’s performance is Patriotic Night and the action begins at 7 p.m.
Advanced tickets for either night of the rodeo are available at the Chamber of Commerce, CarQuest, Owl Creek Graphics and Storyteller. Tickets are also available at the gate. Ticket prices are adults $18, children 6-12 $12 and children 5 and under are free.
Powder River Rodeo will be providing the stock for the rodeo. The announcers will be WPRA Announcer of the Year Doug Mathis and Wyoming native Derek Barton. Matt Tarr will provide rodeo entertainment.
Following the Saturday night performance, Justin Beasley and After the Rodeo Band will be performing at the fairgrounds.
