Vivian Leanne Valentine-Bayert

Vivian Leanne Valentine-Bayert passed away on December 31, 2022, in Casper, Wyo. She contracted an infection while battling COVID-19 at the Wyoming Medical Center and died of sepsis.

Vivian was born on September 15, 1957, to Barbara and Daniel Valentine and was the last of their three children. She was born and raised in Thermopolis, Wyo., along with her older brother Cliff Valentine.

She married Barry Bayert in January of 1976, and they had two daughters, Sunshine and Danielle Bayert.

Vivian Bayert was a stay-at-home mother, making her children's clothes, homemade meals, and involving herself into the communities in which she lived. She also hosted church functions and Bible studies in her home.

In 1988, Vivian and Barry divorced and Vivian worked full-time at the Pioneer Home in Thermopolis before later moving to Powell, Wyo., and pursuing an education at Northwest College. She later moved herself and her daughters to Casper, where she remained until her death. Towards the end of her life, Vivian cared for her aging mother for six years in Thermopolis. Only two years later, Vivian herself passed.

Vivian was much-loved by her family and friends. She is survived by her brother, Cliff Valentine of Thermopolis, Wyo.; daughters, Sunshine and Danielle of Littleton, Colo.; and her granddaughter, Emily Stone, also of Littleton, Colo.

A party will be held in her honor (and in the honor of her cousin, Trudy Lance) on Sunday, June 18 at 1 p.m. in Hot Springs State Park at the Kiwanis Shelter. Please join us for food and fellowship if you knew her or the family. A graveside service will be held the next day, Monday, June 19 at 11 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery.
