Sara Lynn Wilson, 76, returned to her heavenly home surrounded by family, her pastor and friends on March 27, 2023 in Thermopolis, Wyo. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God gave her peace.
Sara was a kind and beautiful soul. She was in the process of moving to Thermopolis to be closer to her son's family and be able to spend more time with her grandson, Sawyer, whom she dearly loved.
Sara was born on January 8, 1947, to the late Roy and Julia Alberts, whom later divorced. Julia married Robert Miller. Robert and Julia raised Sara and her siblings on a farm in Broomfield, Colo. She graduated from Arvada High School in 1965.
Sara was blessed with a loving family. She married her best friend and love of her life, Ralph Semer Wilson, on September 13, 1969, in Denver, Colo. They raised one son, Shane. The family lived in Montana, Washington and settled in Wyoming in 1983. Later calling Basin, Wyo., home after living in Riverton, Thermopolis and Alaska.
Sara was actively involved in the First Baptist Church in Basin. She made many friendships with members of the church and enjoyed Women's bible study and Sunday Services.
Sara is survived by her son, Shane (Mandy); grandson, Sawyer; brothers, Ron (Maggie) Miller, and Jim Miller; sisters, Karen (Wes) Millette, and Sandy (Claude) Verhoff; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; and her parents.
Sara was cremated and services were held at the First Baptist Church in Basin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 22. Pastor Aaron Gesch officiated the service.
