Reporting Hageman's statements as facts

I’ve fact checked just three items Hageman had listed in her lengthy article, and each one is false.

Although President Joe Biden tapped into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) he did NOT sell the oil to China. The SPR is a reserve of crude oil maintained by the United States government for emergency situations. The President CAN authorize the release of oil from the SPR to alleviate a supply shortage or price spike. The SPR has been tapped multiple times in the past by previous administrations for various reasons.

Regarding selling SPR oil to China, the SPR is intended to be used for domestic emergencies, so it would be highly unlikely for the U.S. government to sell SPR oil to a foreign country. Additionally, there are legal restrictions on exporting crude oil from the U.S., which would make such a sale even more unlikely. In summary, there was no evidence to suggest that President Biden had tapped into the SPR to sell oil to China.

Likewise, there is no credible evidence to suggest that President Joe Biden has received millions of dollars from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) either. It is important to be cautious of misinformation and false claims, especially those without credible sources or evidence. As the President of the United States, Joe Biden is subject to strict financial disclosure requirements, which means that any income or financial transactions related to foreign governments or entities would be subject to public scrutiny.

Furthermore, if there were credible evidence of such transactions, it would likely have been widely reported by reputable news (not propaganda) sources and investigated by relevant authorities. Therefore, without concrete evidence, it is not appropriate to make unfounded claims about the President’s finances or affiliations.

Ms. Hageman also claimed to have talked to “a gentleman” for “a good half hour, 40 minutes” from The Office of Management and Budget (OMB)-an agency of the U.S. federal government  responsible for managing the federal budget and also providing analytical support to the President and Congress on a wide range of issues, including economic and regulatory policy, national security, and international affairs in order to develop and implement the President’s budget proposals and annual budget request to Congress, which outlines the President’s funding priorities for the coming fiscal year.

Also, calling the USA a “failed state” the likes of “many in Africa” is ludicrous.

Far too many Republicans serve in Congress under a constant cloud of fear. Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Madison Cawthorn, Matt Gaetz and a few others have made extreme and inflammatory comments part of their political brand.

Apparently Ms. Hageman falls into that group of fear mongers as well. There were several more of her sentiments she stated as facts in that article and were equally misleading. The continuous writings of such people should not be given legitimacy in our actual news and need to be called out for it. Opinions are not facts!
