Bobcats finish regular season this weekend

The Bobcats varsity boys basketball team lost two tough games last week. The Cats fell to Worland 48-77 and 32-74 to Lander.

“Lander and Worland are excellent teams. I thought in both games we started fairly well and had a dip in the second quarter. We definitely turned the ball over too many times against both teams. We had well over twenty turnovers and that really hurt us at the end of the day,” said coach Shane Corpening.

He added, “Defensively, I thought we did okay for the most part, but we allowed a lot of second chance points against both Worland and Lander. Turnovers and second chance opportunities really add up over the course of a game.”

Against Worland, Zak Hastie led for the Bobcat scorers with 10 points, McCoy Longwell chipped in for 9, Gavin Shumway had 8 and Cody Bomengen rounded us out with 7 points. Shumway added 7 rebounds as well.

Against Lander, Shumway led us with 8 points and Kanyon Gerber added 4 rebounds.

The Bobcats finish their season this weekend. They play Lovell at home on Friday Night (Senior Night / Pink Out Game) and they are away on Saturday at Powell.
