Zoe Joy Stehlin

It is with unexpected heartache and sorrow to announce the passing of Zoe Joy Stehlin on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Zoe was born in Aurora, Ill., to Robert James Stehlin III and Jody Ann Sievers on April 25, 1998, and raised in Thermopolis, Wyo. At only 24 years young, she was the baby of 13 children.

Throughout her life, Zoe was known for brightening the lives of everyone around her. She had the most beautiful and genuine big brown eyes that Nellie Dowdy described as "magical". Her laugh was infectious, her heart was pure, and her smile was so radiant that it would light the darkest of rooms. She was a vivacious young lady with a zest for life; anybody that has been blessed to know her can attest to that.

A true athlete, animal lover, and talented artist, she made it seem like nothing was unachievable. A graduate of Hot Springs County High School in 2016, Zoe participated in volleyball, cheerleading, was a remarkable track star, and discovered her passion for painting. Her hard work and determination won her many medals over the years, for both sports as well as her artwork.

Zoe was such a rare blessing to this world. Where ever she went, there was a natural warm sensation of love that she carried with her. Above all else, she loved her family and friends. Such a selfless soul, everything she did in her life was always to benefit others. Always trying to please others with some materialistic item, when in in reality, she was the true gift.

She is survived by her grandpa, Robert James Stehlin II; grandma, Gail Magdanz-Patterson; parents, Robert James Stehlin III, Jody Ann Sievers (Les Snyder), Ephrom (Vicki) Jones; brothers, Eric Jones, Jovan Sievers, Scott Stehlin, and Robert Hoehn (Taylor Travato); and sisters Catherine Rayford, Samoane Jones, Tasha Griffin, Brianna Zahn, Alexandria (Ryan) Eggert, Jennifer (Eric) Hill, and Justice Stehlin.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Rachel Denise Stehlin; Grandpa James A. Sievers; and Grandma Elizabeth Stehlin.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the Armory Building at 1 p.m. Earth Day, being Zoe's favorite holiday, is the perfect way to celebrate her life. Please join us in honoring and remembering the joy that she brought to so many.
