Senior Center to host New Year's Eve Celebration, cribbage tourney

The Hot Springs County Senior Center will hold its Ringing in the “Noon” Year event for New Year’s Eve Celebration on December 30 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center. 

Director Trenda Moore said they will have door prizes and a balloon drop. There will be sparkling cider and other nonalcoholic drinks. The menu will include BBQ ribs (pork wings), baked squash, rolls, coleslaw and mixed fruit. 

Also, the Senior Center will host a fundraising cribbage tournament on Saturday, January 7 at 1 p.m. This event is open to the public and participants must be 18 years and older. The entry fee is $20, which includes $5 day money for the highest total points for the day. Call 864-2151 to get signed up now. 

Moore said that they received “rave reviews” about the cribbage tourneys and they plan to hold them quarterly.
