Ice skating rink located near baseball fields

According to Hot Springs State Park Supervisor Kevin Skates, the ice skating rink will open on Wednesday, December 21. The ice skating rink is located at the softball field closest to the fairgrounds in the Hot Springs Rec District area. 

Skates said there is a horse trailer that contains skates, hockey sticks, field goals, and pucks to use. Skates asks that everyone be respectful and return all items back to the horse trailer when done. Last year Skates said, “fortunately, there was no loss of items for the ice skating rink.” 

Also, there is parking there with picnic tables and a trash barrel. Skates added there is no warming hut available and no fires are allowed. Therefore, he asks that patrons dress warmly and appropriately.
