TMS hosting conference

The Thermopolis Middle School wrestlers traveled to Lander for a dual team tournament on Nov. 19.

Coach Toby Emery said, “Of the four teams we faced and the six wrestlers we brought, we won 23/31 matches.”

Emery stated, “The team wrestled well overall. Everyone came home with at least one win and more confidence than what they arrived with. We wrestled with grit and confidence, and it was fun to watch.”

Team stats:

Round 1: Thermopolis vs. Jackson - 6 wins/1 loss

Round 2:  Thermopolis vs. Shoshoni - 5 wins/4 losses

Round 3: Thermopolis vs. Dubois/Wind River - 5 wins/3 losses

Round 4: Thermopolis vs. Lovell - 7 wins/0 losses

Individual results were not provided.

The team competed in Cody for a quad this week on Tuesday and will host Conference on Saturday at Hot Springs County High School.
