New home in the works for church

The River of Life Church is preparing to move into its new building location. The church, led by Pastor Joe Moon, purchased the building in March. It used to be the Elks Lodge and the former Wax Museum. They are finishing up construction, including the fire suppression system. The pipes for the fire suppression are currently being fabricated. 

Moon said that they hope to be moved into the building and hold service by the end of December or the beginning of January. Moon added they want to use the building as a conference center venue for events. They also want the building to include a late-night coffee house and a youth center. 

The River of Life Church currently meets at Micky’s Movie Theater on Sundays until the end of November. Afterward, they will meet at the VFW before moving into the new building.
