TMS Wrestling on the road to Glenrock and Riverton. The TMS Wrestling team had a busy week with multiple matches in multiple locations.
On Friday, Nov. 4, the team traveled to Glenrock for a team dual tournament. The team went 3-2 and placed 2nd in their pool and 4th overall out of 9 teams competing.
The team also traveled to Riverton for the Spartan Invite on Saturday, Nov. 5. The Team placed 6th overall out of 11 teams and crowned three champions including Lilly Quintanilla (105 lbs.), Cannon Boren (120 lbs.) and Mack Buckner (155 lbs.). In addition, there were two runners-up, a 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th.
Coach Toby Emery said, “The team wrestled very well. They were on the attack, controlled the pace of the majority of matches, and scored a lot of pins. I am pleased with the team’s technique and conditioning as a whole. The team is improving every week and gaining confidence with every match.”
This week the team is hosting a quad duel on Thursday, Nov. 10 at Thermopolis High School beginning at 4 p.m. The team is also traveling to Worland for an invitational tournament on Saturday, Nov. 12 starting at 10 a.m. at Worland Middle School.
