Class reunion brainstorming session planned for next week

Representatives for the Hot Springs County High School Class of 1973, Dixie Vialpando and Norma Smith are seeking ideas for the class reunion celebrations held each year on the third weekend of July. The meeting will be at the VFW on Thursday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m.

Vialpando and Smith want to invite all HSCHS class members to come. Vialpando proposed that the coming class reunions can be all day on Saturday of the reunion weekend. Each class can take a different area of the Hot Springs State Park and there could be food trucks, a craft fair, and other attractions.

Vialpando and Smith said, “We’re the class of 73, and we are a very large class. We got along very well, our whole class. Our main goal right now is since there is no reunion committee anymore, that we just kind of feel like if something doesn’t happen, the reunion might go away because there’s no organization. And I don’t think we’re looking to organize another committee. We just have an idea that we want to put there to present to the other classes. So what we’re looking for is an invitation to all representatives of all classes to come and just visit with us, hear us out. And see if they have any suggestions on what we want to do.”
