Two names will be on the 2022 General Election ballot to serve as Hot Springs County Commissioners filling two seats for four year terms.
Thomas J. Ryan and Paul M. Galovich received the highest amount of votes in the Primary Election. Jack Baird will be giving up his seat.
Several incumbents are running unopposed for Hot Springs County offices.
Terri Cornella is running for reelection as Clerk of the District Court.
Jill Logan is running for reelection as County Attorney.
Julie Mortimore is running for reelection as County Treasurer.
Becky Kersten is running for reelection as County Clerk.
Daniel Webber is running for reelection as County Assessor.
Jerimie Kraushaar is running for reelection as County Sheriff.
Mark Mortimore is running for reelection as County Coroner.
For some of the district representation, candidates are running unopposed.
For the HSC Conservation District Rural Supervisor four year term, two positions are available. Incumbent Jim Wilson is the only candidate on the general election ballot so voters will have the option of writing-in an additional name. For the At-Large Supervisor four year term position, no candidates filed so voters can write-in a candidate of their choice.
Three positions are open on the Cemetery District and three candidates names appear on the ballot. Incumbents Stan Kraushaar, and Basil Sorensen are running the four year terms. Merrill Ready is also running to fill a seat.
For the Hot Springs County Hospital District Board of Directors, incumbents Jessica Benefiel and Melissa McCumber Johnson are seeking reelection and Aimee Kay is also running. Three seats are available for four year terms. Heath Overfield is not seeking reelection.
James Byrd and Keith O’Brien are running for two seats on the Hot Springs Rural Fire Protection District for four year terms.
