Cross county brings home conference win

The Lady Cats cross country team won their conference meet last Friday in Lovell.

Ruth Johnson won the varsity girls 5000 meter run with a time of 21:02.78. Jayda Griffin placed 4th with a time of 23:35.53. Sadie Martinez placed 6th coming in at 24:20.71. Lillian Johnson finished with a time of 29:26.21.

For the Bobcat boys varsity team, Jadeth Elder placed 6th with a time of 19:06.21, followed by Jerek Jeffs 19:49.39 who narrowly missed placing in the top ten. Jesse Rodriguez had a time of 20:39.79, Seth Needham 20:45.17.

Lovell is one of the more challenging courses and some of the cross country team members were able to hit PRs on the course.

They are headed to State Cross Country this Saturday at Wyoming Indian.
